Well, hello there.
Today on Angry Fanboy Sherlock, our inbox was filled with lots of hate. And why? Because Carly was being honest. I don’t understand why people feel the need to do this. You should not judge someone for his or her sexuality. I’m continually astounded by the negative ways people respond to sexual minorities. Perhaps it is just the way I was raised, but I never cared about the sexualities of others. I was taught to be kind to everyone, no matter his or her sexuality, because sexuality is not a choice. It should not matter to you who someone else is or isn’t attracted to, and it is completely ridiculous that people feel the need to message us with hate.
Really. People are sending us messages saying absolutely horrid things, and all because of us being honest. I can’t even wrap my head around the idea of hating someone because of his or her sexuality, and I really can’t believe that there are people who take the time and effort to message us with hate just because of who we are or aren’t attracted to. And you know what else? The personal posts were under Read Mores. People chose to click “Read More” and then still went through the effort to send hate mail, which makes absolutely no sense at all.
No one is forcing you to click on those links. If you don’t want to read personal posts, then don’t click on “Read More.” Also, you may feel free to click the “unfollow” button at any time.
Carly is perfect, and brave, and you are absolutely terrible for sending hate mail. It is never okay to send hate mail because of someone’s sexuality.
